Concept and Layout Design | Illustrations | Print Management | Digital Conversion

When recreating a map, it is essential to work closely with the client to ensure the design meets their specifications. Maps can be basic or as detailed as required. Graphically accurate or with a dose of artistic temperament. The existence of Google maps has helped to plot road layouts, but often that is too detailed and an design needs to be tailored for specific needs. I always ensure my maps are my own and are never a direct copy of someone else's hard work.

Fete Programme

This map was created in Adobe Photoshop and was given a watercolour theme. The beauty with Photoshop is that the stands for the fete change position year on year and this can easily be mored around to suit.

Interior of a church

This map was created as guide for an exhibition in the interior of a church. It was created to give attendees easy access to the exhibition stands which you can view here.

Trowbridge Park

I worked closely with Trowbridge Town Council to create this map a few years ago. There was a full consultation and a very hands-on approach. I walked around Trowbridge park for two days, measuring and counting shrubs, trees and flowerbeds. The map was displayed at both entrances to the park so the whole image had to be rotated 180 degrees. Click here to see it from the other angle.
